Descrição
Since the discovery of cosmic rays, much effort has been put into interpreting their observed properties, such as the energy spectrum, the composition and their arrival direction, in the context of phenomenological models. Additionally, the sources are frequently assumed to emit cosmic rays isotropically or in a tightly collimated jet pointing towards Earth.
In this work, we investigate (by simulations) the effect of the geometry of UHECR's emission on their observed properties. The observed energy spectrum is studied as a function of the intensity of magnetic fields along their propagation, the angle between the jet direction and the Earth-source line of sight and the source distance to Earth.
